Standing on the platform, she draws the bills from her wool overcoat and asks for a one-way ticket. Wreaths of smoke rise from the panting engine. Her crystal earrings, and Art Deco necklace glint in the sun.
The woman in the office recognizes her and makes town small talk and she hands over her ticket.
Just then, her love's arms embrace her. With a sign of relief, she takes his hand in hers.
They seek refuge in one of the carriages. Ready to follow her dreams. Wondrous beauty surrounds her.

They're here!
The newest designs from Suzabelle.
Romantic.
Sophisticated.
Mod.
Detailed.

Suzabelle's designs are full of details, feminine, and classic. Year after year, they are timeless. Designer Suzanne Jaberg was named "designer of the decade" by the Seattle Magazine and even dubbed the "Seattle Coat Queen" by the Seattle Times.

Just one of the few lines we at Anne Bocci Boutique support that is manufactured overseas, Suzie's goal in production is to provide great living wages and work environments for women in smaller, less-developed countries. The quality is superior, details are perfect and fit classic.

The production manager visits the manufacturers weekly to ensure everything is running smoothly and that all aspects of development are socially responsible. Suzie uses natural fiber materials and dyes whenever possible and source their fabrics and labor within the same community.

Suzabelle is dedicated to employing only sweatshop-free labor because they believe that protecting human welfare is critical to ensuring that worldwide conservation initiatives and actions are sustainable and effective. To help offset the impact of production and transportation of these garments on the environment, Suzabelle will donate 5% of proceeds from each sale to Conservation International.

Summertime...and the accessories are easy.

Gentle contours of a cheek
As shadows break lines crossing
Curving neck gracefully bent
A look over shouldered glance
And here lies a work of art.

I work with pretty things, every day. Mostly. Well, at least that's the idea of it all. But in reality, day in and day out, boutique work isn't all that glamorous. It's 97% work: ordering, straightening, inventorying, vacuuming, staffing, paying artists, insurance, security, taxes, business association fees, mailing, building a website, displaying, marketing and oh, there's also selling. Yeah, without making the rent, there isn't a business.

Then there's the 3%. That's the best part of it all. Meaning all the the glam, fun stuff, like creating sparkly things, and working with amazing designers, photographers and talent. An Some of the West Coast designers I love to work with and carry in the boutique are Seth Aaron Henderson of Project Runway, Ms. Wood, Suzabelle, WeMa, Lori Presthus, Ipseity, and Loco Lindo.

Summer is the best time to show your personality with some easy, fresh accessories. Just throw them on and instantly feel gorgeous.
And mod, lightweight laser-cut wood earrings for $36 dollars are just the right piece to add to your wardrobe. And you can add a dramatic piece like this stunning waterfall necklace and be instantly be noticed in the room.

In the boutique world, no product or design looks good unless it's displayed and modeled well. That's where the magic behind the lens comes in. ONE word. Dustin Rowley. His eye for beauty and setting a tone is beyond magical. I love it when he stops by the boutique and picks out jewelry, clothing and accessories for his editorial photo shoots. You can see his work and hire him here:

Autumn...
Summer’s kiss is fading. Longing for Fall’s sweet crisp air.

A few days ago I walked along the edge of the lake and was treated to the crunch and rustle of leaves with each step I made. The acoustics of this season are different and all sounds, no matter how hushed, are as crisp as autumn air.

Unseen until now. Private collection by Seth Aaron for Project Runway

Just got this in! Straight from Project Runway to Seen ON to the boutique. Now available. Never seen until now.
Photobucket

This is part of Seth Aaron's hidden collection made for Season 7 of Project Runway.
Here's more of the edgy design you all have come to expect from Seth. If you watched the Project Runway Show, you may recall he created two entire collections for Season 7 finale. Tim Gunn asked him to create more, after my first collection was designed. The hidden collection not shown was property of the show, until now. They sold off individual pieces through the Seen On Auction site. This is a gem of a dress from that hidden collection! Directly from Project Runway to Seen On to the boutique. It's metallic silk with black trim, asymmetrical zipper front, peplum detailing in the front and back.
Size 0-2 made for the model.

Gator and leopard embossed handbag by indie NW artist Sha Montana. Montana is an artist who has chosen leather as her medium to create accessories that are one of a kind pieces of art made entirely by hand. The non-endangered stingray, snake and alligator along with vintage furs and recycled leathers are her materials. Vintage woven fabrics and velvets are also in the mix.

Her mentor "Leather Man" Juan Santiago taught her that fine workmanship and quality are the most important elements in hand done pieces. To that she add her own unique style that ranges from classy to edgy rock and roll. She make custom pieces and can work directly with the customer to create her dream bag. Montana's clientele includes those looking for the the unique, the rich and famous, and most importantly the appreciative. She believes that it is important to recognize the sacred connection that we humans have with animals. It isn't her intention to exploit the animals for fashion, but rather to honor and adorn them. Her pieces are being featured in the Paris Vogue in the next two months.
